Try something different
I recently joined a soccer league to try to get some regular and fun exercise. Physical activity is mother nature's natural antidepressant. In these long Buffalo winters, it becomes especially important. Although I haven't played soccer in probably ten years, I have to say I had a lot of fun at our first game. Our first opponents were tried and true competitive professionals while our team was made up of random individuals similar to myself who just wanted something different, and were a little lacking in the skill arena. Although I view each week with equal parts dread and excitement, I take pride in trying something new and not taking myself too seriously. I have had the pleasure of meeting new people of different ages and have gotten great amusement from the varying levels of competitiveness I see. If you're not up for soccer, maybe try something else new this week, and let me know how it goes...
